Landon and Bryn. You are crazy. Go to sleep. When you ate teenagers and want to sleep all day I'm going to tell you no because you used to keep me up when I wanted to sleep. I took this at 9:50pm. Your bedtime is 7:30.

Meanwhile, my Prince Charming is busy at home tearing apart the kitchen. What a crazy adventure that was. I hope I never have to do it again.

The house is finally coming along quickly. This is the big renovation- the kitchen. The heart of the home. It is a challenge to live with a hole in the middle of your home. Thank goodness for amazing neighbors who brought dinners and let my kids spend time playing at their home so Shane could get the work done! We really are blessed with wonderful friends!

Hey there buddy! You are a very good helper. And you are ALWAYS helping! Such a good boy.
Easter time is always fun. Spring time cook-outs, Easter egg hunts and fun with the family.

Even Grandpa was having a blast-Jannae?? We're still not sure!

Princess Tea Party

Snake River Chamber Singers put on a Princess Party each year for kids as a fundraiser, and Bryn is finally old enough to go! Luck for us we got to bring along Prince Charming. He was a very good Prince, he really loved all the girly attention!

We really had loads of fun because Bryn was there with Lily, Ciara, and Hannah.

We met Princess Maren,

And Princess Aunna,

And another Prince Charming that Landon wouldn't share with.

Minnie was also there,

And Princess Sam! We really love all these princesses, even when they refuse to open their eyes for more pictures, Princess Stinkerlot.

Conference was great this year. I had about a hundred activities stashed all over the house so the kids would entertain themselves and Shane and I could listen.  It worked very well too. Landon even heard them talking about Jesus and Bryn always remembered hearing about the missionaries so the could have a treat from the missionary box.

Idaho is known for strange weather... No exception here. It was almost 60 degrees with fresh snow. Warm enough my oldest crazy made some snow angels and foot prints out there.

The potato head name Pluto.

Our Relief Society had a princess birthday party and Bryn was so happy to help me dress up. She picked the dress (the more beautifuller one) and the shoes and topped me with her tiara. She kept it when I went to the party though because she was worried someone would steal her favorite crown.

Oh my Boy! He hasn't figured out how to get out of the dollhouse, but his bed... Faster than I can turn the light off.

Saturdays are best spent outside. Better yet, outside playing, getting dirty, and making some new friends.

This girl is a genius!
"I hope I can see Rapunzel again."
Bryn this if Frozen not Tangled.
"Mom, just watch--- look there she is!"
Bryn found the Disney cameo. The pays attention to the detail I have trouble seeing when I'm looking for it. Way to go girly!

I love it when Uncle Dee comes to visit! We made kefir and lots of memories hanging around with this guy.

Meet newest member of our family! Can you see her?? She is really really really tiny! Her name is Greya. She is our resident Love-Bug. She comes out when Bryn sees scary monster shadows. She can jump really high and swims really fast. She doesn't like sharks but somehow she gets the monsters out and the love in. I love my bugs!

Sunday afternoon

On Sunday afternoons...
We have dog piles
And play run away from Daddy on the new carpet
Landon tries to dress himself
Then we build things like slides!
Why can't I keep this boy off the table? At least he's eating healthy. Blueberry fingers and face!
Lately I've had a bit of the prepping bug. Actually, I always have it but most if the time I keep it concealed in my head and not exploding in the living room. Not today children. In case you are wondering how I started this mess, I'll share. When the power goes off (which has at least five times in this house) I turn into a panicky hide under the covers not so adultish person so the first thing I grabbed were flashlights. I really just through them in a bag with a clif bar and that was it. I raided my house for anything I would want if I had to leave for overnight (which I have also done no less than five times in the last year) like spare contacts! And undies for all members if my family. I started with the necessities that I had duplicates of. After all my necessities if I had to leave but not for a disaster (like there's a cat in the basement so we are sleeping over at Grandma's) I started reading the lists, and really planning meals and for emergency situations. That's where you start. From the basics. Then you build!

We painted the walls in the basement! Bryn had so much fun "painting unicorns."

I am so proud of my girl today! She is almost done with swimming lessons and today she jumped off the diving board! It's a three foot board into a nine foot pool. She is so brave! I wish I had a picture of the excitement on her face but Shane and I had Landon in the pool today too. I wish I had a picture of the terror on his face going down the slide. By the end of the day he learned to love the slide and loved to splash, and even learned to doggie paddle. My kids are so brave, I hope they always are.

Bryn was a little sad and frustrated coming home from church today, because she didn't get a turn. But we were learning about cheering ourselves by cheering others and I was really grateful to have an opportunity to teach her to serve others. We made some cake donuts and took them to a friend who has been having a hard time. Bryn was literally running circles around me as we met our friend in her driveway because she was so excited. She learns so fast. Her little mind is so considerate and understanding of people around her. She really amazes me each day.
We have decided to have an emergency camp out. Mostly to rotate and test our 72-hour-kits. I'm very curious to see how we'll fare. Today we dumped out our kits all over the floor to take inventory and update. I tried to to explain to Bryn what an emergency is and what we are going to do if one happens. I have always been worried that talking about emergencies would scare my kids or that they wouldn't even listen. When we started our evening the exact opposite happened with Bryn, and I am in awe. She listened, and understood. She had ideas and she added to her bag without me asking! She kept bringing me things that she will need, and she had legitimate grown-up reasons for everything she brought to put in her bag. She is a prepper--- inherently. This is the first time we've really talked about this to her. I am amazed. I'm know we have a lot more work to do, but now I know I have Bryn working with us and her energy for keeping our family safe is eternally inspiring.

Landon is starting to dress himself. I love it! Today he also said "pancake" and "open it." You're getting so grown up!

"When did you get so grown up Bryn?"
"Uh, just a little while ago."

If you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay. Quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away.

This girl is ready for swimming lessons. She has learned to bob and hold her breath under water for a long time. Her favorite part of swimming lessons is when she sneaks away from her teacher and gets to the slide! Mischievous little thing.
My dad turned 51! Thank you for getting older and letting me get older too;) At first, Landon couldn't quite understand why we were all singing to him, then he got to blow the candles out and it made more sense. After the 51 happys, and the low burning candles Jannae is suffering from second hand smoke. Maybe we should have called the fire department.
