Brynisms

Dad:  Would you like some ice-cream?
Bryn:  Yes.  Three pounds.

Bryn:  Where's my dog?
Mom:  You don't have a dog.
Bryn:  Then, where's my cat?

Bryn:  Mom, I broke it like this "BAH!"

Bryn:  Where's Daddy?
Mom:  Driving the school bus with Uncle Bill.
Bryn:  Um... He's probably camping.

Mom: Bryn I'm home from shopping, and guess what I bought!
Bryn: ...(in a hopeful whisper) fruit snacks?!?
Mom:  Ya!  Fruit snacks!
Bryn:  Mom, I'm so proud of you!!!
the good, the bad, and the adorable:

Yesterday Landon had his two week checkup and he's growing like crazy.  He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, almost a full pound gain in two weeks!  That shouldn't surprise me since he eats like a piranha.

Our well broke. again.  This time it's the electrical box and the electrician is working on it... but having no water with a newborn and a two-year-old is pretty miserable.  I know trials are supposed to strengthen you, I guess Landon's immune system will be strengthened...at least I hope.  Maybe one of these days Shane and I will get on the ball with our emergency water supply, instead of walking down the street to get water from our neighbors.  Thank you to good neighbors!

Landon started smiling as he was falling asleep! I hope to get a picture of that, but for now that sweetness is tucked away in the Mommy memory bank.

Apparently while I have been doing this...
Shane has been doing this (along with making sure Bryn has breakfast every morning, driving the school bus, working on a house in the bigger city, and being woken up every time Landon is hungry in the middle of the night)!  I'm glad to have such an amazing husband who works so hard for us!  We'll be warm this winter!  Thank you Shane, you're my hero!

A world with TWO kids...is crazy!

Bryn loves all these new things at our house.  She has been opening everything for me, what a great helper!
I love watching him sleep.  Even though Bryn may be climbing on my head, it still makes me feel peaceful.
Bryn entertains me with hide-and-seek while I feed Landon.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is... mine?

She knows I love the peacefulness of a sleeping baby, which is why she wants her hair crazy right?
Bryn loves taking care of Landon, and everything else she can get her hands on.  She has been taking washcloths and using them as blankets, beds and pillows for her dolls, her brush, her pretend food, real food, and other washcloths.  When I took this picture she told me she was going to work.
 She loves 'nuggling' him.
 And kissing his tiny head.
And just loves being the big sister!

September 27-28... Baby Day!

Finally, done being pregnant!  I have to admit, it was pretty smooth sailing anyway.  I never really got sick and didn't have any complications.  It got really hot in August, but overall, I had a pretty easy pregnancy.  Definitely looking forward to seeing my toes again though!
I was induced at 39 weeks and 6 days.  We checked into the hospital at 7:00 PM, I was given Pitocin at 8:55, water broken at 9:05, spinal block (heaven!) at 11:00, Landon Mac Fredrickson was born at 12:04, September 28, 2012.  He waited to come exactly on his due date, on his Grandfather Fredrickson's birthday (Grandpa is still floating on cloud nine).  Landon is the first Fredrickson Grandson, so the name continues on.
Landon is a perfect little boy.  Ten fingers, ten toes.  Seven pound, one ounce and 21 inches long.
Bryn LOVES him!  She kept saying over and over "He's so tiny!"

She gives him the softest sweetest hugs and kisses.  Loves to hold hug and snuggle him and before he was twelve hours old, she had given him knuckles and high-fives at least a dozen times!
Daddy is proud to have his boy.  Future hunting buddy, football star, singing partner... you know, all the things daddy does I'm sure Landon will be following in his footsteps.  I couldn't ask for a better example for my baby boy than Shane.
 We are a happy family!

Bryn & September

Bryn decided for one to smile for the camera while we picked the last of our garden. Her favorite pickings were the sunflowers that decorated our table for a week.

What a big girl reading her teddy bear Bells a story!
Serenading me with Head, shoulders, knees and toes.

This is a portrait of Uncle Quinn, drawn completely by Bryn.
I finally made Bryn an apron to match mine so we can cook together.  She loves to wear it, especially when we eat spaghetti.

Starting a chimney

We finally started the chimney, and good thing because it was 26 degrees last night!  I'm pretty glad Shane can lift heavy things because there were sure a lot of bricks to carry up the ladder.  Good work schnookums.
Happy Birthday my sweet Baby Girl.  I am so proud of you.  You are so smart, kind, and beautiful.  You learn so quickly and remember so much.  I love how loving you are.  You always want to give hugs and tell us you love us, and I love it.  I am so glad you are in our family.  I'm not sure how we ever lived without you.  I love you my two-year-old-big-girl!!!!!!!
